A team of scientists and undergraduate students has analyzed the size of 25 marine species, including whales, sharks, squids and other ocean giants, according to a statement. The science journal PeerJ published their study today.
What they found is stunning. Most of these creatures make people look puny.

- Basking shark: 40.25 feet.
- Giant squid: 39.37 feet.
- Giant octopus: 32.15 feet (radius).
